So I was over in Europe a few weeks back, I've noticed (particularly in France) that bikers use their hazards when filtering between lanes on dual carriageways etc. which seems a good sensible idea (we all know how hazardous filtering can be). But Triumph in their wisdom haven't given us hazards on certain models/years........ Then one day I saw a guy that went a step further, he'd obviously fitted some clever electronics that made the indicators flash rather like you see on breakdown/maintenance vehicles. They alternated between left and right indicators giving a few rapid flashes on each side, this looked really effective IMO and made him much more noticeable. So..... I'd like to fit whatever this guy had to my '94R. Anybody out there (Europhiles) know anything about the product? Yes, I know it's probably illegal but if it helps keep me safe I'd happily argue the toss with plod.
Headlight and indicators on when I filter and wearing a blue jacket - sounds daft but it's like Moses parting the red sea the lines just open up. I suspect they think I'm a Captain Scarlet Gendarme coming through.
So I was right Ade,..... as I said if it makes me more visible I'll take the risk of plods attention. At the moment due to Triumphs penny pinching I don't have the option anyway! Down here this time of year the A30 & M5 comes to a stand still, so filtering for mile on mile is common. (Roll on another month and it'll be nice and quiet again)
Not sure but I suspect it could have been a Kisan Signal Minder. What you may have seen is one of the functions of this unit called escort flash https://kisantech.com/mag/signalminder/sm-2.html
Could always fit one of these. Certainly get people's attention (and confuse the Shit out of them). Suspect Mr plod would be less than pleased though.
