Tiger Explorer Engine Crash Bars

    I have a 2017 Explorer 1200, lovely thing it is too.
    Except i hate the standard Triumph crash bars, they stick out too far.
    Can someone tell me what the difference is between 2012 - 15 bikes and mine? Why would the bars for the earlier one not fit?
    Loads available for 2012-15 bikes that i like but not for the later model.

    When I bought my 2019 I was given the option of the new bars or the older, so I presume they fit? I went for the newer ones.
