I am needing to replace the battery on my 2009 SE EFI bonneville. I was searching the web for batteries and found that a lot of traders are still listing the wrong size as a replacement for 865 EFI bonnies made in 08, 09, and 2010 Example.... https://www.tayna.co.uk/motorcycle-batteries/f/triumph/bonneville-t100-se-09-present/ All the batteries listed for 865 EFI bikes by the seller above are the wrong size for 2008 2009 and 2010 bikes, they are a replacement for pre EFI bikes and post 2011 EFI bikes (In 2011 Triumph modified the battery box to fit the larger YTX12-BS and the ECU). The EFI bikes use the YTX12B-BS which is 20mm narrower to accommodate the EFI computer in the battery box. The battery dimensions pre EFI are 150x87x130mm, EFI batteries are 150x67x130mm. It's the same on eBay, lots of traders listing the bigger YTX12-BS replacements for EFI,s instead of the YTX12B-BS. Has anyone else had problems with this? It is something to be careful of when replacing your battery.
