My spouse decided to return to riding pillion after I purchased my single seat Thruxton. Further wallet emptying required to purchase the dual seat. It slots on similarly to the original. Rear pegs took 10 minutes after I had dropped the ball bearings a few times. Easy job even for a spanner imbecile like me. After a test ride, I declare it a comfortable improvement but an aesthetic backwards step. I just hope she now chooses to climb aboard or the dual seat will be for sale here soon!
I’ve got a dual seat on my Thruxton S and find it v comfortable and like the look but I don’t have the fairing on mine. Either way it’s a great looking bike!
If the Mrs doesn't make use of it don't worry, you now have a place to strap down some luggage and head of on an adventure. I'd call that a win win
