Welcome to the family. Don't know about you RS but the Bonneville has the USB under the seat to the forward right of the battery.

I can’t find any usb sockets on my 1200RS (even under the seat) and I don’t know what an Sae outlet is!

It does have a DIN socket near the top of the engine on the right hand side.

2 o'clock of the oil fill cap is some kind of socket that looks like it might provide power. Owner's Manual calls it "accessory socket" page 17. Doesn't seem to be spec'd out or referenced anywhere else in the manual.

I have a battery tender plug to USB gadget myself.

I assume provision of these would be common to all machines once introduced on the assembly lines.

My 2021 Street Triple R built on 19/03/2021 has both. USB under the pillion seat and SAE under the rider’s seat.

Nope, pretty sure there's no USB plug! Just the 12v power plug at the oil cap.

You could get a DIN to USB adapter and run a usb lead up from that.
