    Hello All

    I have a 1969 T100S

Trying to figure out if I need a new air filter for my Amal carb as it has threading but my filter does not... I understand that there is a sleeve that bridges this gap between the carb and filter but dont understand how that would work as the carb has a very thin (sleeve) on it as is -see photo.

Do I need a new air filter?
    or
    Do I need a sleeve?
    How will this work?

    Thanks

Air filter looks correct and Amal do spacer rings that screw onto carb.

The spacer ring screws onto the carb that has threads on the inlet port to take up the slack between filter and inlet and then a jubilee clip clamps the filter to the carb inlet. Also maybe you have the spacer and just need the jubilee clip.

Some filters simply clamp on the stub with a jubilee clip.

Hi Erik, Welcome to the forum. I had a '67 Tiger 100, Lovely bikes to ride. I think my filter was just held on with a jubilee clip, onto the back of the carb, it was over 40 years ago, but I think my memory is right. .........over 40 years ago :sob: :sob:
