Greetings all. I have a 2003 Bonnie, with classic peashooter mufflers. I want to let the engine speak more, but I can't afford some nifty after-market pipes. Any suggestions for de-muffling the sound on this old beauty?

    Hello,
yes you can remove the rear most baffle, it's called a bafflelectomy or something like that. you will need a 1 1/4" hole saw and a long 1/4" drill bit, hopefully there are details on the internet. It does make the sound deeper and a bit louder but not too loud. you may have to increase the main jet size. there used to be full details on Triumph Rat Net, don't know if it's still there.

I debaffled the can on my XR650R this way. With the right tools it's relatively quick and easy.
