Hi guys and girls. During a breakfast meet with some biker friends this morning I met a guy with the above bike, 2003 model. He told me he had front brake lever issues. I have told him to put a new master reservoir seal kit in but he tells me he is unable to find one and the complete new reservoir is fairly expensive. My question is, where can i buy a rebuild kit, if one exists?

    Thanks

Try Sprint Manufacturing www.triumphparts.co.uk - they see to have some. Whether they are the right ones or not only you will know. Possibly!

Is he 100% sure there is no air in there? The front brake can be a complete bastard to bleed.

Yes, says he's done everything but it's sometimes works normally then fades back to grip. All other solutions been tried and next suggestion from me is fit new master cylinder repair kit

Needs bigger master cyl. Stock is 14mm. 5/8" is better or radial master cyl off Daytona 675, speed R etc.

If go radial will need new lever and hose. Many jap bikes used nissin 5/8". 1st thing we did when racing them to stop the lever coming back. Makes a massive difference although only about 2mm bigger.

Has he checked calliper pistons? One or other often sticks which can mess up bleeding etc - as I found out
