    Hi All,

Looking for some help/advice, basically I put my Scrambler (2014 EFI) away on Friday evening, the engine was running and I noticed that nothing on the dash displace was working. I gave the bars a little wiggle and it all kicked back into life and lit up and resumed normal appearance. As I started to reposition the bike again, (to get close to the ground anchor) the dash died again yet the engine remained running.

I parked it up and decided to try and find what might be the problem Saturday.

Saturday morning came about after hardly any sleep (because I couldn’t stop thinking about the bike), put the key in the bike, headlight and tail light pop on, but nothing on the dash moved or lit up. Without the dash I can’t start the bike.

    I've checked:
    - battery
    - fuses
    - ignition

So my question, has anyone had a similar issue or know what might be the problem?

    Thanks in advance,

    Regards,

    Badger

As @Dozers Dad says, I would suspect a broken wire / loose connection. Check the plug connecting the dash to the loom is pushed fully home.

Also is there a cable tie holding the loom to the steering head, if there is and its tight cut the cable tie off and flex the loom at that point you'll probably find your broken wire ( common fault on beemers lol).

If that's your fault you will need to cut into the loom and repair the faulty wire / wires.
Replace any cable ties with another but fitted more loosely.

As said, wire near the headstock. Turn the bars and see what wires move, if any are particularly tight when the failure occurs then I would focus on there.
