Has anyone replaced their dash lights, e.g. indicator/neutral idiot lights with LED bulbs? Mine are a little dim in daytime and almost indistinguishable in sunlight so thought new bulbs may help. JUst want to know what type fit! TIA!
I was thinking about this myself, and went Google-ing I saved this in a notepage but beggared if I mind where I found it. Instrument back lighting: 4 - WLED-WW5 bulbs (warm white) Nuetral and Turn Signals: 3- 74-GHP (green) Temp and Oil: 2- 74-RHP (Red) Brights: 1- 74BHP (Blue) Don't know if that's any use... Its as far as I got, I done had a hectic few weeks. I do have a spare set of clocks, and fully intend to try the bulbs in them first before howking them off my Sprint. (900, 1996)
You might try Lightenupgrade on ebay, he's a Triumph guy and does kits to swap all the bulbs for the correct replacements in a kit of whichever colour you want. https://www.ebay.ie/sch/m.html?_ssn...RC2.A0.H0.Xtriumph.TRS0&_nkw=triumph&_sacat=0
I've put LED's in my tank console panel on my America just recently, like 8 days ago ! There are 12v LED's to replace every incandescent globe type ! So just remove the current globe's, go down to your local auto shop and find the appropriate led ! They cost like 4 or 5 times std globe but are 5 to 10 times brighter
Here's my led lights in operation Top picture shows stop tail light globe , extra small led which is Blue when lit and led with a removable white plastic lense cover. Cheers capt
