My son has purchased a 400X as his first bike.
    I have a Rocket 3GT and Tiger 900RP

So far it has been a good bike, except the front disc screws came undone and created a huge groove in the fork. We are waiting for this to be repaired. It has been at least a month, might be two and nothing from Triumph yet, except to say it will be fixed under warrantee. So that's good... just waiting. But at least the bike is usable.

Until today, when he arrived home and the bike created a huge puddle of coolant.
Bike has done 3500 km. Completed its first service at 1,500km from memory.

The picture does not look as bad as it was as we had to find a camera and the coolant adsorbed in to the concrete. Online forums say... its normal. There is NO way a new bike should spit coolant like this. My son said the coolant was coming from the overflow pipe next the the sump guard. He want to pull the guard off, I said NO. It is a warrantee job.

What do you think, can he ride it?
We have a 1500km trip coming up in 2 weeks, with lots of gravel, it will be interesting how the little bike goes...
