Is the comfort seat any deeper than the stock seat. Although I find the stock seat plenty comfortable enough, if the comfort seat is a bit taller, that would suit my long legs. World of Triumph have it on sale for £50, so could be worth considering.

Hi Neil, I bought one a while back and ride with it almost all the time. I think it's a gel rather than a foam, but I didn't notice any difference in height, certainly nothing that would change your knee angle.

Thanks for that, Captain. I figured as much and, as I find the stock seat so comfy, I won't be buying one.

I have one, I paid £40 from the same place. I thought it was worth it just for the quality & finish the stitched panels - its really added to the quality finish of the bike.

I've only had the bike a bit over two weeks. My seat has red stitched panels and is very comfortable. I'm wondering now if it is the comfort seat

You’ll have a tag on left side of seat like this if it’s a comfort seat.

Thanks, jh1; mine hasn’t got a tag so not a comfort seat then.

Captain Trips; this is probably the best stock seat of any bike I’ve had. I think those of recent years have all made the trip to my local auto-upholsterer for a bit more foam. With this Triumph seat I don’t feel the need to do that. I’ve had a couple of six hour days on it and not been squirming around, so am happy with it. I’ll see, how,it goes over the coming months.

Does anyone know the difference between the seats on the 2018 RS and 2016R models?

I succumbed and splashed out the £50 on a comfort seat. My initial impression is that it is not any different to the stock seat. I’ve not yet done any long days on it and maybe the gel padding needs a bit of time to soften; I don’t know. What I can say is that if I was in the position where I’d paid £170, I’d be very disappointed.
