I'm always surprised by how much colour affects the character of a bike (visually that it).

The latest (admittedly non-Triumph) project I'm involved in is a Harley V Rod restoration... It came in Doom Purple (almost black). It was very dull for such an extrovert machine....I'd always wanted a bike in BMW's Lava Orange so - why not...?! Its a nice zingy candy colour...

Anyone done this with their bike?

Think the Fireball orange that was used on the mark 1 Speed Triple would have been a good colour for this bike.

    But looks really good.

Actually John Deere Green may have been a better colour for your tractor.

Thanks. Yes Fireball orange is good. Triumph have had some great colours over the years - I like the cranberry on the Explorer - but the Harley demanded something a bit more mad....

Here is the same Lava Orange on the K1300S as BMW intended...

Of, and no tractor! This is the Harley that ain't a Harley - Porsche liquid cooled engine putting out 115bhp... Revs to 9,000 which definitely puts it out of tractor territory..

Now the Fat Bob - that was a different thing....
