I want to purchase a new coil stick for my 2001 triumph sprint st 955i as I think I number one or master cylinder is misfiring from time to time...I've replaced the plugs twice already and that did not rectify the issue...so whilst everything is in bits I thought why not replace it...

Problem is I can't seem to find one that is not second hand...looked on W.O.T and Fowler's but it doesn't appear on any parts diagram or at least I can't see it...

Are they no longer manufactured and do you have to take a chance and buy used....

No problem. I don't know about the year/VIN but if it is the prior VIN numbers then this one: https://www.fowlersparts.co.uk/parts/view/T1290006

    Hi Duck

I think a gentleman by the name of 'PAUL' makes replacement stick coils though I can't remember his user name on this forum. He does, occasionally, inhabit the Street Triple forum so I've sent him a PM on there and a link to this thread - hopefully he'll chime in if he can help. If you're not in a mad rush to splash the £300 at Fowlers hang fire for a couple of days and see if Paul can come up with a viable alternative - may not necessarily be cheaper but could be better value for money?

BTW, Duck, the "Qty Used" reference on the Fowlers web site will refer to the number required for that particular application/machine and not the state of the part - which will, of course, be new. ;)

    What a silly duck....:joy:

I only wanted one just to see what happens with the master cylinder but I shall see what occurs with this chap that makes them...I got plenty to work on at the minute so no big rush ...

Duck I would consider a used one at that price. or failing that swop the coil stick to another cylinder and see if the miss still occurs

    An update for you, Duck.

The person that I know who makes stick coils has responded to me via the ST forum and has informed me that the ones on your Sprint are a different type to the ones he makes and supplies. So, I'm afraid that's a dead end - sorry! He has advised that you would be best to get a used part to try, but I'd suggest that there's no point doing that until you've confirmed, by elimination, that yours is actually faulty.
