Featured Chrome cleaning

    Hi,
    Just tried the (no doubt old) trick of using ordinary kitchen foil and water to clean up my tail rack whilst it was raining this weekend.
    Amazing results - no need to ever buy any form of chrome cleaner again. Just tear into mobile phone-sized pieces, dip into water and then gently rub over the area - after a few seconds a kind of black paste forms and the rust disappears. Wipe off and the jobs done - see attached pics of the before and after rack.

    Cool, Does that mean that we are going to see a load of Harley's riding around covered in tinfoil then?? :biggrin:

    Is it April 1st? Is it true....don't really matter, me and my Harley's blathered by cement, mud, water and everything else by ROAD CLEANING truck cleaning up motorway works in Scotland last week. Lots of Tigery things oooop there :upyeah:

    Hmmm, I had some chrome in the bathroom to clean today so gave it a go. Amazingly it actually works :smile: Thanks for that Steve.

    I also did a search and found this explaining the science Cleaning Chrome

    Harleys in tin foil I like that

    There again do this trick with Harleys chrome and it will probably disintegrate

    I have just tried this on the barbie rack and it works a treat in removing the old gunge and baked on fats

    We were in Fort Augustus at the end of July....14 Tigers in total :biggrin: saw plenty of Triumphs up there too :upyeah:
