675 Change Speedometer

Hello all,
I am trying to fit a 2011 speedometer to a 2009 street triple R. It was the closest year we could find second hand.
Are there wiring differences which will stop this working? The Speedo on the 2009 has a damaged screen and dial.
I am hoping I don't have to get the '11 screen and dial put onto the '09 board.
But if we have to, I guess we will.
I bought the Haynes manual, but I'm still not sure which part of the wiring could be causing incompatibility.
