Are all the T300's this hard to put on the center stand ?

I thought I was going to be visiting A&E with a hernia !

I also note there is no lift handle on my trophy and I would like one but the ones on evilbay have varying descriptions and I only need the near side one.

Anyone got any pictures of the offending article :)

The Trophy's really are heavy to lift onto the stand, by comparison my R1100RT which is 20kg heavier pops onto the stand just by standing on the lever on the rear of the main stand

Yes they are a bugger to get on the centre stand. I tend to hold the left bar in my left hand while standing heavily on the foot tang on the stand itself and lifting with my right hand on the rear carrier (Givi) lower framework.
I have a feeling that I may have the lifting handle you speak of lurking in a dark corner somewhere but It may have been lost a while back (rack was put on at the first service, some 22 years ago, and we've moved house since then, so don't get your hopes up). I'll have a look over the weekend.

That would be great if you have , but if not If you can remember what it looks like I'll get one off evilbay but I'm not paying triumph £47 stg for one I think that's over the top LOL.

I've managed up to now doing what youre doing but hoping I don't pull the rear footrest off or drop the damn thing.

My 900 Trophy has a Krauser pannier set and so the lift handle is not accessible, I rode a 1200 a couple of years ago, heavier but has a fold out lift handle so no problem. Having broken the centre stand on the 900 heaving up a fully loaded bike on a camping trip I have bodged a pillion footrest on a strip of steel from under the seat down to a convenient bolt hole, it meant cutting through the side panel but a on 24 year old bike it doesn't spoil the looks and I can just about get it up now. Stop sniggering at the back!!

We will sort that as we go along :), but the lift handle off your Trophy is a later type than what would be fitted to mine:(.

Any advice to anyone is a freebie from that point of view, but, Thank You for the offer:cool:. If you go down the route of breaking the bike there will be bits I will want and we will chat then !! :):)

You could try adjusting the "sag" in the front forks. I had 94 Trident, I put stiffer front springs into the front stanchion tubes, this reduced sag, made the bike taller at the front (5mm or so) found I wasn't lifting the bike as much. You could feed stanchion tubes down through triple clamps, this would have same effect.

Thanks for the heads up, however the £27.11 p&p kills it, I could understand it if it was big & heavy. I had a pair of wheels delivered from the UK for that sort of money.
