Can't Take Off The Seat Bonneville America 2014

I am having difficulty removing the seat from my recently purchased Bonneville America 2014. I've searched the internet, but all the information I found pertains to the front seat for riders, which is a relatively simple task with two screws on each side. However, my bike has a combined rider and passenger seat. I've managed to loosen it by removing the single screw at the back, but the seat remains attached to the bike, even when pulled hard. I can't locate any lock mechanism. I'm at a standstill. Could owners of this model please offer advice on this matter? Thank you.

 

I've just discovered that on the left side there is a pull up plastic hook attached to the link. I was pushed under the the seat so I couldn't see it.
