Hi. I’m very very new in this whole thing, and I need your help to buy a Bonneville in Mexico.
A friend is selling me a 2009 Bonneville SE. As you know, SE has casted wheels, and I want to change it for spoked wheels. This is the main modification I want to do to this bike so before I buy it, I want to know if is it possible? How difficult would that be? Can I use spoke wheels from other models? As a matter of fact, Triumph is selling bikes in Mexico just from 2018. The one i’m trying to buy is imported from United States. Any help is appreciated. I want to be part of this community. Greeting from México!

Hi Alfredo. Welcome along. If you haven't already, it may be worth asking your question in the Bonneville forum as well, in case not everyone keeps an eye on this one.

Honestly? Do not try. It is possible but will cost far more than the bike is worth now or will be once modified. You would be better off not buying the SE and finding the model you DO want. The SE is a great bike just as it is.
