Anyone tried Bridgestone BT-023 tyres on a Tiger Explorer 1200? Welcome any feedback. THe OE Metzelers are now shot and fancy a set of road tryres .........Fitted these to my Varadero 1000 and were a vast improvement over the OE Bridgestone BattleWings in longevity and cornering
Haven't used them on an adventure bike but put on my 2009 fireblade and they were brilliant, very easy to get on with. cheers Steve
Had them on a VFR1200, they were brilliant, just brilliant. Gripped really well wet or dry and lasted, sold the bike after putting best part of 9000 miles on them and the bike was resold with them still on there, good for another 2000 at least. Would have put a set on the Speed but couldn't get the right profile size so went for PR4 instead, these are good but preferred the 023's
I had them on a bandit 600 and used in all conditions (summer/winter) without any issues. Im not liking the custom pirellis on the triple espically in the wet so its either back to the 023's or possibly the michelin pilot road 3.
BT023's are a great all round tyre very good feel and you get very good mileage out of them (had them on a 2009 Fireblade and they were brilliant) Metzeler Z8's are also a brilliant tyre and they really suited the Speed Triple I had and were brilliant in the wet. Pilot road 3's are a bit out of date now the 4's are meant to be better ( but not my favorite tyre) Cheers Steve
Totally agree about the BT-023. Again I haven't had them on that bike. They were on my ducati monster. Originally had the BT-021 and then put the 23s on. Responsive in the dry and confidence builders it the wet. Can't quote on the mileage though. I traded the bike in after a couple of thousand. Running metzeler M5 at the moment. I like the feel but waiting to see about the mileage I get.
I agree with the above on BT 023`s. Fitted to my 900 they transformed it!!!!!! Also fitted them to my Blackbird with the same results! Im no Rossi but i think they are great tyres!!!
Gotta add that i recently fitted the pirelli angels to my street and they have blown my away.......Amazing tyre.
anyone who liked the BT-023 should check out the T30, seems to be even better ... haven't tried myself, but reviews are overwhelmingly good.
I have BT-023s on my Aprilia Tuono and Kwak 650 Versys and I really like them, good feedback even when riding to the edge of the tyre, great in the wet and good mileage. Re the T30 I had one on the back of the Kawasaki last year, the bike shop ordered it by mistake so let me have it for the same price as an 023, to be honest I didn't notice much difference so have gone back to the 023 as they are cheaper. I will certainly be fitting a pair of 023s to my Speed Triple come spring.
