A bit scary - having been out for a ride yesterday I wheeled the bike out of the garage this morning to find the brake lever had very little pressure, but pads were dragging a little. A couple of pumps brought the pressure back.
There's no sign of fluid loss from lever, calipers or lines, and the level in the reservoir is fine. I'm going to take off and inspect calipers but any thoughts about what the problem could be are very welcome.

Thanks - I gave them a good spray and clean with brake cleaner a few weeks ago, giving them a good going over again. Maybe got some grit in there, roads are still filthy.......

I always put a thin smear of copper slip on the edges so it helps them slide on the calipers.

Some pads backing plates are quite a nasty stamping and the edges are rough. Trial fit pads in dry and make sure they are a nice sliding fit, slightly loose is acceptable but tight isn't.

I put some new pads in my little lads Beta 80 evo when in a rush. Popped them in and brake was dragging but initially not obvious. Took them back out next day and they were dead size. Filed down the edges and no further problem.

Aside from sticking pads you may have a little air in the system and it need bleeding.

Thanks - Lever feels solid after (another) clean, but will keep an eye on it.
