My Son popped in on the way home this evening and dropped this off for me to take a little look at......... It's a 1/6th scale model of the 1959 Triumph Bonneville T120R " The Tangerine Dream " He took all the photo's of the Ace Classic's bike for the model makers to produced this replica. My iPhone shots don't do the quality of the model justice, but thought some of you might enjoy.
There's been quite a lot of controversy regarding the authenticity of colour, you would not believe the amount of research my son has done to ensure it's correct. It's even been corroborated by big T as correct, yet there are some so-called experts arguing that it's wrong. I'm reliably informed there's a DBD34 & MV Augusta already being tooled DD. O/A Length 13" x 7" High. Yes they come with a stamped certificate of authenticity, as I understand.
It does have a non operational stand on it, as I understand the reason behind the jack box was concern over the weight of the model.
Hi mate , brilliant model but will the production one sit on its centre stand or the jack box? Thanks Bob.
Update..... may be of interest to any one lucky enough to secure one of these models, there is now a case available to keep the model in. http://news.diecastlegends.com/q/112Jyb5q21kgShdhhRC/wv
