...... and promptly comes back after 30 minutes ride. Far too hot to ride and the heat from the engine just didn’t help. God that bike kicks out some heat. You would’ve thought I’d be sick of riding after my long trip, but I needed to take out Nellie to make sure she was OK after over three weeks of standing idle in the garage. (She was). I cleaned Waspy this morning too, so that’s another job out of the way.
It's a bit "toasty" here in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona. Here's a photo of my car dash from Friday. Check out the temp in the bottom righthand corner. I was very glad to be in my car with the AC running! We're riding the motorcycles early in the day with the aim of being home by late morning.
Haha! Just noticed I said my car dash said the temp was 110F on Friday but my dash does not lie. It was Tuesday. I guess one 110 degree day just rolls into another in the summer here and it's easy to lose track of what hot day of the week it is.
Well, I try hard not to be a greedy American, but I guess sometimes it just comes with the territory.
I don't know if it is the meds I have to take or whether It's just an age thing, but I don't seem able to tolerate the heat as I was once able to. Bloody frustrating!!!
By the time I get to town to buy a fan - and actually remembered what I'd gone there for in the first place - it'll be bloody well snowing!
