As title, I’m sick of my ape hangers, Raleigh chopper style bars or whatever you want to call them on my 2013 cast wheel Bonneville. I’m sat too upright and want a little more forward weight but not low drag bars. What has anyone fitted and please post a few pics?
They still look too high Steve. Did you fit them if so did you put them side by side to see the drop?
They are a 2" rise as compared to 5" on the standard bar. Renthal do a low bar as well but that was too low for what I wanted.
Ok that actually sounds good. Maybe the picture doesn’t tell it all this time as your bleeding gloves hinder
Feels just right for me and I don't really notice leaning forward anymore than I did. MOT tester last year said It was the most comfortable Bonnie he's sat on!
I've got LSL low superbike steel bars, still feel quite upright to me but I'm used to lower bars. I find them very comfortable and they do give some weight over the front. I think they have a 5cm rise.
@steve lovatt are your bars steel or alloy? My preference is steel as if any thing ever happens and your miles from home and the bike falls over the steel bars will ensure you still get home.
Thanks, As it happens I'm just about to replace them because of the ongoing saga from my missus knocking over the bike, that's why the bike is that blue colour. Didn't notice until I started riding it again that the bars are slightly bent. When I looked online I couldn't seem to find the same bars and prices for a bent piece of metal tube were ridiculous! However, I think I found the same bars for £34 from Motorcycle Road and Race Ltd, LSL Superbike Flat 22mm Steel (123LN01) = £34.00 Colour: Black Found an old picture which shows the rise a bit better. Cheers
