I've never been a big user of the horn on any of my vehicles but a couple of days ago I had occasion to give some dozy teenage girl a blast when she stepped off the pavement in front of me because she looking at her phone instead of the traffic.

Frankly it was embarrassing, yes it got her attention but what a pathetic sound!

Has anyone changed theirs for something better and if so what did you go for?

    Replacing mine with this
Denali Soundbomb Split system - 120db
£40 on Amazon and easy as pie to install
Although maybe a bit overkill for what you want, it is better than the mouse fart noise that comes as standard on my Speed Triple R

I have removed the rear footpegs yesterday and managed to use the bolt that comes with the unit to fit into the hole that the footpegs screwed into - a perfect fit, however, I had to slide the compressor onto the bolt and then use that to tighten the bolt, I fortunately manged to arrange it so that the compressor is aligned with the frame when it is fully tightened
The horn unit will go either under the headlamps if I can fashion a bolt and spacer, or it it will go where the standard horn is located.

As I do lots of motorway commuting each day, i need a loud unit to make sure the blond in her Audi A5 (who is doing her make up while texting and listening to her house trance music) notices me before she cuts accross me and kills me.
It sounds like a horn from an 18 wheeler so it gets instant reaction as cars think it is a lorry rather than a bike.

I previously had the Screaming Banshee unit on my old bike but they dont make the split system anymore.
