I was at the TOMCC AGM this sunday (usual mundane stuff) but of interest was the news on the Bonneville 60th gathering in September this year at Uttoxeter racecourse. Numbers of tickets sold are already over a thousand and they're hoping it could be the biggest gathering of the model ever. Looks like a canny weekend so we've booked up Bit more info here if anyone fancies it https://www.tomcc.org/Home/News/e15f273caf0c491096b084e9f773d025
Hi unfortunately this clashes with the forum international trip, so there will be a few members who will not be able to make it; shame...... Wessa
Hi checked and got this reply ‘Hello John, Presently, there are no plans for on the day entrance paying as arranging a large event is too great a risk financially to the club, we must work with good numbers. I’m sure you understand this. It will be a great event and well organised for the planned numbers attending.’ Understandable I guess but it’s cheap enough at £18 in any case
Happy to check with the events coordinator if you like ? To me it would be sensible to welcome any Bonneville rider for the event as they may get more members. It’s a nice club I find good branch structure, good events and pretty cheap plus the monthly magazine is first class. And if you aren’t bothered about the branches you can just elect to be a national member.
I can confirm you don’t need to be a TOMCC member to go At the moment it’s advance tickets only but there may be tickets available on the day depending on numbers sold but these will be a few quid more (like most shows) That said it’s a large venue apparently
