1976 Bonneville 140 Been working on it to get it out of the conner and up and running. Put the original carbs back on. Started bike and it ran but then no lights no power. Found the brown (i think) wire on the ignition switch (key) was not fully connected. Fixed, it started and ran fine.

Now after several times of stopping and starting I am blowing the fuse. I disconnect the peg with the two white wires and did not blow fuse anymore and things like headlights and stuff lite up, BUt as soon as I connect the peg with white wires it blows.

Not much of an expert, but decent at fixing things and I don't give up easy, really like to get this running again without taking it in

Thanks for any help you are able to give. !!!
