What's the verdict over a black T120 rather than the more traditional 2 tone colours, and was their a limited edition in black in 2017?

Black is rubbish, hard to clean, always looks mucky, has the lowest resale value and is 10mph slower than any other colour.

If you live in a hard water area black can be a sod to clean as you can get difficult to remove limescale spots unless you can dry it all very thoroughly straight away. In direct sunlight in summer that is not so easy to do! To get around this I have now got a zero parts per million (0ppm) water filter from RaceGlaze which I use for the final rinse. Hugh has a lot of shiny black bits as well as the colourful tank and all the chrome - it's WAY easier to clean him now as you can leave the bike to dry while you have lunch and then come back to polish the chrome and wax the paintwork. Peasy.

Decision made, I've just ordered a new one with the new Blue / White tank, best colour available in 18 models in my opinion.

Well done. You should only be pleasing yourself. I have a gloss black T100 and think the same thing

Seconded for a DI water system, it's the way to go to take the PITA out of cleaning. While gloss black needs care it's one of the most rewarding to get right. DA polisher with the right foams and compounds etc and it's no sweat at all.

Today I bought my first Triumph and is a T120 Black Matt Black :) will have the bike in a week or so, but I can tell I love the matt black, I had a chance to buy a used black (not matt) for quite a good price but did not like it. I think is just a personal thing, you need to like your bike, not care if the other do not like the same. Unless you really want a green and yellow with fucsia pois that well someone has to tell you just not buy it!

Like he said, its your ideal bike in your mind that counts.
I looked at the all black and matt black but just couldn't make my mind up, so I comprimised to the black and polished alloy.
    Now in love

I have owned black bikes in the past and have black and coloured bikes now, and IMO they do show the dirt more than coloured bikes. However it is down to choice on what colour bike you want to ride, and love ........
