While we raise a virtual pint to the late, great Paul Sample, does anyone remember a couple of other bike catoons?

Specifically Fred Gassit in Superbike and a weird one that replaced Ogri (I think) for a short time called Ranx Xerox? That may have been in one of the other mags - it would've been around 1985-6 - but I've had a few bangs on the head since then so I may be mis-remembering the whole thing..

I've got all the Fred Gassits digitised I think, if anyone wants me to share a couple.

Bloodrunners by Andy Sparrow. Nothing ever got close to Ogri though. RIP Paul Sample.

I've still got my "Jack Shit's totally unofficial Bike Show 1984" Tee shirt. It...sort of fits.

But that's not what I was thinking of. (My 750 Turbo was known as Hoover - if you remember the strip you'll know why)
