Sold my last bike (a BMW twin) when it had clocked 78,000 miles and a mate has 93,000 on his, both running sweetly with the original clutch. Just out of interest, has anybody put high miles on a triple? The engine seems strong and well put together, but do they last as well as say BMW?
My 1993 Trophy 900 has 128,000 miles on the clock, I had the tappets checked in 2012, two sprag clutches, the second uprated one has done over 20,000 miles, three speedo cables, carb needles, sprockets/chains and tyres and a few bits from falling over at nil mph like levers, indicators and screen oh! and a couple of batteries. Probably worth £15 but it still keeps going.
