    Ho, ho, hi..me again...

I know it is likely an easy one, but I do get ever so confused...

    2002 Speed triple 955i (efi).

Fowler's says that the wheel nuts for the rear are 35 and 38mm. But measured I'm looking at 45 each side...?

    Any thoughts or insights?

Any other "make sure you've got..." before I take this off?

Would you believe .... I only need to get the wheel off to refit the rear brake hose clip on the swingarm

I thought 46 aswel. You get stuck I am sure I have a socket somewhere in my garage and can let you know next time I am going up the H café and you can borrow it. Or if you are passing through Burnham pop in and use my sockets.
    Regards
    Joe.

...45mm...was based on my eying it with a ruler across the awkwardly placed nut...so I am very happy to concede 46mm....

Thank you both, and for the kind offer of tool borrowage. Irritatingly I am on the home straight of my brake refurb....I simply can't get the hose clip on the swingarm for the rear as the disc is in the way (I did think this may be an issue when removing).

I will treat myself to a shiny new 46mm socket tomorrow and see what happens from there on in!

    Cheers all!

(I wonder what the fowler's detail refers to)?

That'll be the thread diameter, not the across flats size of the nut.

Definitely 46mm. I got one from Amazon about 8 quid I think.

Me too. Got a 46mm flat black impact socket, 3/8" drive, and a 3/8" to 1/2" adaptor, cos my big socket set is 1/2". T'only 1/2" drive one's I could see were t'12 point ones, and I wanted a flat sided one. Oh, and I got a torque wrench anorl.
