This was a programme that I used to look forward to and really enjoy.
However, as is often the case with such programmes, once the series became established the focus seemed to get a little blurred.
More and more time is put aside to give us the benefit of family members opinions, likes and dislikes.
There is so much material available to the producers in the form of classic cars, bikes and assorted motoring memorabilia to more than fill the hour slot without resorting to padding it out with family trivia, surely?
I can see that it is important to attract as many viewers as possible, rather than just motoring enthusiasts, but last nights episode left me reaching for the remote.
Sadly that excellent programme, Inside the Spitfire factory is going down the same road.
    Just my opinion.

I still think it’s one of the best programmes about. Good mixture and no false deadlines like we get with the American offerings. This week’s episode has an Aston martin DB5 and Vincent black shadow......worked for me!

Their place (Mathewsons) isn't that far from where I live. It's an interesting place to go and walk around (COVID lockdowns excepting of course) but I agree the TV programme has lost its way somewhat, but they all seem to do it. Ed China left Wheeler dealers because the producers of the show wanted to cut down the actual spannering time footage per episode, which is all I watched it for because cheeky chappy Mike Brewer isn't my cup of tea. Although Ed's replacement on that show, Ant Anstead seems a good bloke and he stands up to Brewer more than poor Ed ever did.

Having tuned in on Thursday and seen James May's Honda CD 175 arriving at the venue I am not certain whether I missed the end of the story?
Did it get sold, does anyone know?
