Just heard that a biker lost his life today in Maidenhead no other vehicle involved but it war frosty this morning. Think someone said it was on face book. My Tracy was worried till she got in touch with me as i went to work around the same time. Joe
Sad for the other biker, but take glad it wasn’t you Joe… I’ve not met you yet, but you’ve always been a star of this forum
My thoughts are with the family of that biker. RIP. There was a time when the bike was my only means of transport but gladly those days are long past and riding in inclement weather is not undertaken intentionally these days.
DSC900 Yes i am very greatfull. It just stuck in my mind as Tracy was trying to contact me and i missed her calls till i got home and saw her face and the relief in it. Sometimes we forget there is someone waiting and worrying about us. Yes we will meet one day. And you are one of the stars here and always great write ups. Joe.
Maybe another good reason for using comms on the bike. Even when I am out on my own I still have my comms up and running. I can respond to incoming calls and with 3 clicks of the rearmost button on the unit it will dial a preset number. If that is your SOS number it will also provide location details to those contacted. I have a Cardo Freecom 4. Nice and compact compared to some and good battery life.
Baza What a great idea. I have one on my helmet must read up on it and see what can be done with it. Mine is a sena. Of course it helps if i start turning the thing on and carrying my mobile phone Tracy purchase for me. Joe.
