    Beloved Triumph community!

    After a confused little break and two years with some good old American iron, I humbly and proudly announce to return back into the fold...

    After drooling onto the showroom window for a while, I went into my old Triumph dealer’s place and asked them if they would be interested in a little bike-swap.

    They were. And now, the reserved sign has been attached to this gorgeous beauty:

    And for those of you who remember me owning the red Thruxton R and selling it...
    Oh yes, I recall my wrists aching during slow city passages.
    But you know what? I give a damn. I still think, this is one of the most beautiful bikes ever built.
    And besides that: It feels great to own a Triumph again!

    Hand over is scheduled for Friday! I’ll keep you posted...

    Awesome, Daniel! What a gorgeous motorcycle! Good for you for going for it. :) Life's short--buy the damn bike! Which you did. Excellent choice, too, I must say. ;) Nothing like a new bike to make one feel like a kid again. :grinning:

    Anybody else remember 'Dunstall Decibel' silencers? They should restart making them.

    As for the aching wrists. If it happens with this one, a pair of 2" risers does wonders, and it is not enough to spoil the look. ...J.D.

    the obese Robert (Fat Bob) had to go.

    The podracer is a keeper!
    BMW even tried to talk me into some other of their bikes after they discovered that my /5 all of a sudden was limited.
    So, one day, I am going to sell 2 droids and a NineT... :D

    Believe it or not (and it might be my German upbringing) but a Gummikuh can be a dream-bike too for some...
    I had this scale-model, when I was 10...

    Must say, the older bike makes the newer one look like a load of random parts slung together in a fit of frustration. However, looks apart, I bet the newer one is superior in (almost) every way. Oddly, I still hanker after another R100RS. Perhaps one day ........

    It is one of those machines that you want to caress all the time. The proportions are just perfect.
