Howdo all I owned a couple of Triumphs back in the day, namely a '63 Tiger Cub, and some years later a Tiger. Other rides were a BSA, Norton's and a motley selection of UJM's. Had a BMW R80 G/S since 1984, but recently part traded for a R1200 GS; me other bike is a F650 GS Strange that I should I join this forum, you think? Well, as senescence rushes in upon me, I've decided to do an extended, bucket-list, 6-8 week Euro tour. And I'd like a new Triumph for the ride....something like a Tiger 800 XRx (the new 900's look kinda sweet too). So, if this Covid-19 abates before the end of the riding season, I'll sell the BMW's and see what comes my way...or perhaps we'll all have to wait for next year now. Anyhoo...nice to be here...ride safe DM
Hi Mike and welcome in to the Triumph Asylum - Nursie will be around soon with your 'meds'. Whereabout do you stay? I was in Cuminestown and then Gamrie in the 90's.
Thanks Tigctraft...to get brownie points (as well as the funds) for an eight week jaunt on the bike, I need to reduce the amount in the garage. Love the big boxer, but haven't had much chance to ride her. I only got her 6 weeks or so ago, and had the perrenial (it seems) problem with the ABS...sorted now though, so I might manage a quick flee aboot on her (honest officer, I need this pack of Maltesers)
Delta Mike Welcome to the family. And here in the asylum the inmates just like bike pictures doesn't have to be triumph just bikes. So hit that download a file button bottom right corner and let the inmate ogle the steeds. You know you want to. Plus remember its now a buyers market and you can haggle well. At present the dealers need you more than you need them as you have a bike. Regards & Ride Safe Joe.
Yes sir. And, my guitars have been especially handy for passing time during our current state of affairs!
Hello Mike and welcome to the forum I had a Tiger Cub in 1966 as my first bike o the road and that was like you say love, hate, hate relationship
