no matter how good I am I cannot get anymore than average of 61MPH, anyone getting any better, 2017 T120 with 1600 miles.
63 but only done 800 miles so far ! (only had it a month) Just been two up to Devon from Portsmouth area with luggage and its just had its first (a bit late) service.
I couldn't care less what the mpg is, mine's a luxury and when it needs fuel it gets it, I prefer to think in terms of the pleasure per gallon!
Agreed, I didn`t buy it for its mpg, but it is nice to know that its not drinking it too fast as this gives it a longer range.
I average 68mpg on a 2017 T120 with 8,000 miles on the clock. But I do a lot of long runs on motorways and dual carriageways.
My Trophy 900 is currently doing 52mpg on short stop / start runs, and 59/60 on a decent run ( 150+ miles )
I absolutely agree! Never gave a damn about MPG, this is always about fun, even when I used to be on the way to work.
Unfortunately it's not just fun for some of us, and running costs do matter. Being on a fixed income can change your perspective on things like mpg etc, it means a little more planning, but, that's life !
It can be vital to know what MPG to expect , as it's a long way between fuel stops in some parts ! Out Back Australia is one good example ! On some of my touring back when I found some fuel stops were as much as 240 - 250 klms apart that around 150 miles ! It's a long way to push a fully loaded bike in temperatures up to 44 or 45°c ?
