Hello all, first post on here and it just happens to be........a question!
I'm going to get some ASV levers for my Speed and just wondered what experiences were had as a comparison between the short and long levers. I have a preference for the short ones and although they have been great on all the bikes I've fitted them to the short clutch lever never really worked.

    Thanks

I've always had long levers as I always use three or for fingers. I have risen a few bikes with short levers and they just feel wrong, my two pennies ;)

I had the very expensive ASV levers on my Aprilia, look great however within a year the spring on the clutch lever had corroded and snapped so had to send back to USA for repair real hassle and not what one would have expected.

As I have posted previously I have fitted black Baddog levers (from Ghostbikes) on my new Speed, look great and well made, cost less than half the price of the ASV's. You can get them in long or short, I got long as the shorts of any lever might be too short for big hands!!

I bought some from China for about £35 from Fleabay for my '07 SIII and was very, very happy with them. They are adjustable for length too, so if you're not comfortable with them short you can extend them. The quality is, in my opinion, no different from the expensive alternatives from Pazzo, ASV etc. I have heard some horror stories but mine were excellent. I've just ordered some more for my new SIII. I've had short ASV's on my Blade but due to the size of my pan shovel hands I didn't get on with them - but they looked the bollocks! I've had long (normal) length Evotech & Pazzo foldable levers on my Speed and they felt great - good clutch control etc.

never had the issue you mention about the spring on any of the levers I've had though...

I may well sell the Pazzo's as I've now got another project on the go - if i do I will post on here first!
