Anyone with the 3pistons bar-end mirrors...

I know there's a few on here with the above bar-end mirrors. I had a few questions about how they fit to the bike but haven't managed to get a reply from 3pistons themselves. Do they come with the bar fittings as the photos on the website don't show them? Also do they fit nice and tight like the original bar-end weights? I have some cheap chinese bar-end mirrors that fit with a nut and bolt that compressors a hard rubber bung and they don't really tighten up very well.

I have them. Yes they come with the fittings. However I couldn't remove the old ones inside the bar as the previous owner must have glued it in. Anyways after little improvising the fitting is good now. As for quality....I like it. Some don't because of the slightly bluish mirrors.

 

Thanks, yeah I saw them on your thread with pics. They look good, not too bothered about the bluish mirrors, I just want them to stay put! My cheap-ass chinese ones work but just don't seem to fit well. I think my S3 just deserves better!

 

They fit just fine, if you have triumph bars with the nut inside you will have to remove them so as the new mirrors will fit. they use the wedge fitting and not that orible rubber shit

 

Have them on mine.

 

Ah, brilliant, that's what I wanted to hear - the wedge fitting like the original Triumph bar-ends. Lovely bike darkman btw.

Got to be honest..... did buy a set of the three pistons ones and as well made as they were.. size wise (I was hoping larger) and smoked blue lenses (I was hoping clear but their ebay ad didn't say) they were no different to the ones (I'm assuming Chinese) that came already with the bike... and at four times the price more... returned them
will say though as its not a dig they are well made and packaged well with all accessories that you need.
I shall hang fire for some genuine ones (I assuming a little larger).

The Triumph ones do look bigger

 

I bought genuine and they seem to be smaller than the ones that come supplied on the new 16' bike.

marked mirrors would be a big no no in the its pissing me off syndrome ! lol
