I’m just in the process of restoring a child’s 1940-50’s tricycle and need two water slide type decals as mine are heavily damaged. Anyone on here good with computer art, photo repairs as the first stage is to repair delicate artwork? I’m asking on here as a favour as the decals will take a lot of time and the value of the tricycle is only very low. This is the template that’s needed to work with below as I’ve panned it out flat. The wording starts with ‘FLYING ACE’ then somewhere below the heart it said made in Birmingham England I also need this decal making too I’ve looked and better looked and can find nothing on the net whatsoever about it other than one for sale at an auction a long time ago. This is how I acquired it a few months ago This is the only pic I ever found on the net of one... And this is where I’m at today... So, can anyone cut and paste, repair and send back on here or is that too much to ask? Eric
Don’t you have a better picture of it? I’m sure if you did one of those places that do vehicle graphics/wraps would be able to reproduce it and I doubt it would cost a lot Definitely need a better picture though
Wow! As much as I put ‘flying ace’ in the search bar I only ever got the picture above. Now how on earth Ron did you manage to find that?
Interesting link although looking through I think it’s an uphill battle that’s why I thought to repaint the old one
Good find Ron. You beat me to it. Yes 'Ace' bicycles, tricycles and prams were made by Charles Twigg and Co. Ltd in Perry Barr. A cycle museum might be able to help you with a clearer image of the logo/badge.
