Just wondering if anyone else drag races or watches it ?
I used to race up until a couple of years ago, still involved in crewing for my mate Kev who won the ACU national Comp bike championship last year.

This is lo mo vid of one of my runs.

Hi, i used to watch guys have a go at the 1/4 mile at Crail in Fife. Members of the public could "run what ya brung":) I'm not sure if they still do it there anymore..

Used to go to Santa Pod often when I lived in Northampton. Was always a good day out but sometimes when the Jet Cars were there, it was just fabulous.

After the first couple of times, I found the jet cars a little boring (probably because they were holding up the rest of us in the fire up lane :D
The ones that always impress me are the Top Fuel cars, the sheer violence of the noise is something else !

Long time since I was at Santa Pod - maybe time for a re-visit.

Ran a mini moto down the timed straight a few years ago at the Esholt sprint in West Yorkshire. Can't remember what time it got but the full carb came away right at the end!!:eek:

    Some stats on the bike
    Hayabusa frame and engine.
    0-60 in 1.55 seconds
    0-100 in 2.9 seconds
Faster than those slow old F1 cars :D
It's doing 185mph at the end of the quarter. Best time of 7.994 sec's
Launches at 7,000rpm with full throttle (while praying your chassis/launch set up is right)
Power is somewhere around 550-600hp, never actually dyno'd it.

I ran it in the Super Street class and I was one of the slower guys.....

Lol, last time i was there was back in the early 80's and we used to race yank motors, good fun at the time :) Just love the new bikes that race now though as they are so fast, a good mate of mine Sean has a very trick street Busa that he drags now and then, have fun.
