I'm looking for some saddle bags for a wee road trip next month. I'm looking for about 20-25ltrs each side, but the bigger the better really. There are plenty of options out there, but has anyone got any they would recommend for the 765?
Hi Greg, I was looking a while back and MCN long term test bike had below (see link), I opted not to go for panniers in the end, I will use an Oxford ring lock 25-30ltr tank bag and a 20ltr tailpack for my 10 day trip to Spain next month. There is a thread I started in the Street Triple 765 section on the tank bag. https://www.motorcyclenews.com/mcn-...adventure-luggage-qbag-dxr-panniers-tank-bag/
I use one of these : https://www.amazon.co.uk/Lomo-Dry-B...8&qid=1526631116&sr=8-1&keywords=lomo+dry+bag Totally waterproof, easy access to all of your stuff at one go, very light when empty, no special mounting requ. just bungee to your passenger seat. Comes in a variety of sizes, they are great.
For saddlegbags I've used lots of things over the years on my Tigers. Now have a bonnie and got a pair of Dryspec D20s - tough, waterproof, and not that expensive as these things go. 40l total: https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/dryspec-d20-drybag-saddle-bags
Cheers guys, I'll check them out. I like the idea of just lashing a bag on the pillion seat tbh, probably the cheapest and easiest!
Also look into Kriega setup. I have used them on a different bike. They were 100% waterproof and stable on high speed runs. I am not sure about the fitting for 765 though. If you are interested you can always give Kriega a call..... Generator NPD Ltd Unit 5 Deeside Point, Tenth Avenue. Zone3 Deeside Ind. I've borrowed a Kriega 20 + 10Ltr tailpack for my trip to Spain soon and confirm that it all fits on the pillion seat quite nicely and straps on securely.
