After reading all the Gearbox & Quickshifter threads I cant find an answer to what's going on with my 1050RS
Riding along in 6th gear, with Cruise control on, it will suddenly flash to 5th gear on the display & shut off the Cruise (because it thinks I've changed down). Then display will go back to 6 after a little while.
The quickshifter works perfect shifting down but not always up, esp. 4-5 & 5-6.
Sometimes it is perfect, other times it will not shift gear till I pull the clutch or roll the throttle
So I think it is a Gear Position sensor issue & quickshifter problem as well, but not sure what I can do about it
    Any ideas?
went in for a Demo on a KTM 1290 SD GT....but the trade in for the Speedy is just too painful, offered $8K !

It's more likely the speed sensors on the wheels not talking to each other. Make sure they are fitted properly and check the wiring.

Are you accidentally touching the gear shift with your toe?

I don't know with your bike whether you have the ability to go into the menu on the display but the quick shifter can be turned off I know this as my brother has had to have a new one luckily under warranty on his Tiger 1200 being nearly three years old with close on 10k I think if I remember it is listed as TCS on the menu if you can do this you can try this and at least rule it out or not if the issue continues I think the quick shifter is about £130 but it probably won't be just plug and play mr.triumph wants you to introduce it to the bike for a few extra of your English pounds or us dollars
