i got suckered into buying another Ditch Pump a few days ago. I didn’t want one, nor need one, but, a friend said his friend’s friend had one for sale.....so It had been laid up in the guy’s basement for last 10 years but run occasionally. He put a new battery on because the other had been on for 10 years but still held charge. Detachable panniers too. 1100RS with 38K on clock. 1996. £800. Cheers,Ken. PS. 1996 model.
Nice looking bike. For that price you could probably flip it and make some money if you still don't want it or need it.
No I haven’t that Duck, but his motorbikes look great!!! @Kenbro looks like a tidy example for a great price... the old green eyed envy pokes its little head up, it’s like watching that Henry Cole Program where he gets to look for bargains in other people’s sheds... I’m glad it’s not just him
At that price it would have been a shame not to grab it. 96 is the pivot year for better gearbox. But at 38k, no issue
DCS222, Nice you used the word ‘Envy’ and not jealousy. Nothing wrong with a little envy. Cheers,Ken.
Hi The Duck, Not got it home yet, will have to wait for a mate with his trailer go get it, when he has time. Obviously need MOT as not been taxed for 10 years. So think it will be a couple or three weeks before it’s useable. Looking forward to ‘Stay face and do takeout curbside’. There’s only one member here who can interpret that. Cheers,Ken.
Just now saw this thread, Ken. Congrats on the new (to you) Beemer! It looks like a great bike! And it certainly seems to be a great deal. Looking forward to more photos and details when you get it home.
Hi Tig; Not got it home yet, can’t decide whether to wait for matey with his trailer or ride it the 5 miles home without Tax & MOT. Will post on here when it’s on the road. Cheers,Ken.
I once rode a bike home with no mot no insurance Only 7mls Got pulled over and 6points and a large fine Nearly lost my job as I was working as an HGV fitter and needed a clean license to take them for test Wait until you can get the trailer mate
Nice one littleade, That’s the way to go. Now to get it booked in while the weather is friendly. Cheers,Ken.
Don't think you can do that anymore if it has no mot needs to be taken to the testing station on a trailer
