America Bobber Build "the duchess"

Hi -

Starting a build with frame and motor - was a race car man but fancy a bobber type build in my old age - from the top of each cylinder on my 2003 motor there is a breather pipe - couple of inches long - where does it normal go to and is it essential could it be blocked of somehow ?
