Had a great day at Vintage Days at Mid Ohio Race Track. It’s a huge event held every year with Vintage races on both dirt and road course. It’s unbelievable how big this event is, and as it was my first time attending, I was just taking as much in as possible. Took my girlfriend and we had such a good time I think I have her talked into making it a yearly weekend getaway. Hard to see everything in one day. There’s a huge swap meet there too, I found some parts for my ‘70 Bonneville, Clymer manual and some Whitworth sockets and wrenches. Next year I need to remember to take more cash ;) Took a bunch of pics, will post. Some pretty cool bikes!

Swap meet finds. I think the tank emblems are off a Jubilee. BBC22DBD-0975-4898-9774-A0FDB8A43C14.jpeg DCA34360-6462-4650-A92A-813AB4E60F01.jpeg

Wow, Russell, that event looks like great fun! I think I'd put it on the calendar every year, too. Thanks for taking and posting all the photos. Some amazing bikes in the bunch. I particularly like the 1968 Norton Commando Fastback. :grinning::heart_eyes: The banner for the event in one of your first photos noted the date as the weekend after Labor Day. Have they changed the event date?

@Sandi T that looks like a different swap meet in Burlington Ky. Might have to put that on the calendar ;) There was really too much to take in in one day. I was pleasantly surprised my girlfriend enjoyed it so much. It is definitely on the calendar for a weekend next year. So many old and cool bikes, really everything you could ever imagine. My favorite was an old Zundap which was just awesome, with original patina. We commented on it when we saw it, next thing you know it’s driving past us. I couldn’t believe it was a runner. There was a “Wall of Death” with old Indians riding in circles on a vertical circle too. One of the riders has to be in his 70s. We never even made it to the motocross section. Next year…

@Russell Stroup, that sounds so fun! I'm glad that your girlfriend enjoyed it. Sounds like my kinda gal. :) Mr. Sandi and I went to the "Wall of Death" when we were in Austin, Texas for The Handbilt Show and MotoGP back in April of 2018. It was amazing! I think they had some old Harleys and Indians and a few go-carts, too. Did the one you went to look like this? I wonder if it's the same deal. I know the one we saw is a traveling show. I'd see it again in a heartbeat! :grinning::heart:
