Aluminium Top Yoke Nut

    I want to change the top yoke nut on my speed twin to a black one pro bolt do a aluminium one. I believe the torque setting is 90nm would you be happy to torque a ally nut that tight.

    No I wouldn’t but it’d be worth dropping Pro Bolt an email to ask them.
    I find the ally bolts mark very easily too. They used to do Black Stainless bolts, maybe they could do a top nut?

    It will depend on the grade of alloy and the size and thread type but 60 odd ftlb is quite a lot for alloy.

    I might have made a bit of a cock up (nothing new) I get the m25 bit what do the figures 1.0 1.25 1.50 mean might have ordered the wrong one any ideal which one I need :)

    It’s the thread pitch size in mm, the distance between 2 threads. I think you’ll need a 1.50 pitch size which is a standard metric coarse thread.
