This was supposed to have happened almost 3 weeks ago but for a variety of reasons it didn't until yesterday

Why the 0ladtic sheet. Surely it'll only trap condensation that might form on the bike? If you want a cover, better to use something breathable. Even an old cotton sheet would be better imo

    Vacuum bag.
    Use it every year.
Bike goes in cleaned and dry and comes out exactly as it went in 5 months later.
    No problems whatsoever.

I'll second that my idea of a vacuum bag is bike sits within it and air is drawn out causing an air free environment so no moisture no rust etc,
You didnt buy that plastic(vacuum) bag from DD Enterprises by any chance did you Curly :rolleyes:

Agree that the bike isn't in a vacuum at all really, but to achieve that would be difficult without the pointy bits puncturing the plastic.
I just push as much air out as I can, drop a couple of large paper bags of silica gel in then cable tie the end.
I was very sceptical the first time I used it but now rate it highly.
    It works for me!
