Hi I have a problem with my 2000 speed triple, I have left my key in the ignition switched on when I discovered this the battery was flat, I have charged the battery, it has an alarm fitted but now I can't deactivate the alarm so I can start the bike, it is a rectangular fob with triumph written on and a read light a triangle button and a circular button. I have checked the fob battery, what could have happened ?

Well that's another Triumph technical question well and truly sorted in a mature manner. Surely CC will be happy. Can we get back to the banter now? :upyeah:

It sounds like a datatool c4 like mine. If the batt goes flat it thinks its being stolen. Try disconnecting the alarm box and re attaching. Or check if its got an inline fuse as it might have blown when swapping the battery. It will continue to sound if its blown.

Is it like this but with 'Triumph' instead of 'Datatool written on it?

Hi again guys! on the same subject same alarm syster is there a way the alarm can be de-activated ,say when the bike is being worked on? As soon as I remove the key from the ignition on the Sprint about 4 seconds after it activates the alarm again. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Willy.

I have just checked out the link you posted but none of the above. It's the same fob displayed on this thread but it has "Triumph" printed on the fob.

They are normal Datatool alarm systems but the remote may look different to the one on the pdf file because Datatool supplied custom made Triumph logo fobs for alarms fitted to Triumph bikes.
