I bought some of this the other day, then read or watched a load of reviews and tutorials that suggested that it can be a bit of a nightmare to apply. Also, any spillage on (say) a drive or patio could lead to disaster as its not water soluble.

With that in mind, I've arranged for mine to be professionally applied by my local AYB representative. I know I'm taking the easy way out, but I don'y want to screw it up on a new bike, and in any event I've been warned off using the "consumer" spray bottle that comes with it by some biker friends.

Has anyone else used AYB for this? It costs £70 all in (materials and labour) and takes a couple of hours.

Instead of spraying it on and wasting most of the bottle, just spray it on a micro fibre cloth and rub it on the paintwork and chrome , then spray the parts you can't reach, but keep it off your brake discs and pads, hope this helps.

Yes, that is helpful thanks. I think I'll go with the AYB booking for the first application, though - I may hang around and watch him do it.

You can also use it on black trim to make it look like new, but don't use it on tyres.

Oh, thanks - I’ll see if I can find it.
