I thought I'd post this since I've seen various threads on this and not too many video clips. I use an old small gravity gun with probably about 80ml of ACF 50. The bulk bottles are not too expensive and doing an entire bike uses very little. I think I could do a bike a dozen times or more on this quantity - it's a very economical way of application and it gets blown into crevices very effectively. Compressor runs at about 30psi which seems to atomise it very well. It takes about a minute to apply it then probably 5 or so to wipe down what is a very thin layer.

I know this may seem like heresy, but I've started using XCP Rust Blocker.
It performs far better than ACF-50 in tests: https://www.bennetts.co.uk/bikesoci...-xcp-rust-blocker-corrosion-protectant-review.

I haven't tried it yet but I do like the idea of using a British made product that appears to be at least the equal of its main rival.

I saw another test of XCP and was impressed. I shall probably try some once my ACF is used...eventually! With weekly washing and application I'm hoping that ACF will do a fine job. I did note that XCP is more clingy since it's used for high speed rotating parts. ACF is very light and non tacky which I actually quite like.
